![]() This kind of delay can get you killed while you ponder what the computer is actually doing.ġ4) Water physics are mixed now. This is leaps and bounds slower than previous versions, and needs to be fixed. I'm lucky I didn't break my leg in the fall, too.ġ3) When you hit a block by accident, then try to open it, there is a HUGE delay (2 seconds or more), while the game recovers for some unknown reason. When I broke the cement bag, the *entire lift* collapsed. I was going to plop down my land claim block on it, due to the height of the POI, so I went to shovel the bag of cement on one side. I was on a overhead cable-car-like lift that had bags of cement sitting on its floor. See #3 above about levels.ġ2) Gravity physics is somewhat damaged. 30 seconds is worthless.ġ0) XP booster drinks are worthless outside of mining or raiding POIs sell them if you're not big on mining or killing lots of zombies (see #2 and #3 above).ġ1) Armor negation of infection is a big help, but without lots of Pack Mule or pocket items along with Sexual Tyr., you're going to take a lot more hits to make up for it because you run out of stamina. Previous versions that lasted for 5 minutes real-time were useful. You know, boiling, which kills everything except thermophilic bacteria, which doesn't reside in eggs anyway?ĩ) Beer as a stamina booster is still worthless. Seriously, boiling an egg - BOILING - has a 4% chance of dysentery. No point in cooking food anymore until this percentage goes away. Canned food is now a necessity, and early-game cooking food is potentially lethal, because of % of dysentery. They used to be twice as lethal as dogs.Ĩ) As was mentioned elsewhere, cooked food should NOT have a food poisoning % at all. Still haven't figured out how to move up / down in the interface, it uses a different keyset, I think.ħ) Wolves aren't as bad as in A17, so that's a plus if you're anywhere near the snow / forest biomes. I wish the map preview interface had decent controls, though. Nothing as bad as the cliffs and deep chasms of previous versions, though. I'm only level 4 after playing for several real-time hours (1.66 in-game days).ĥ) The skill tree, as had been mentioned in videos and posts before, has skills in the wrong trees (most notably the M16 in the Fortitude tree, when it clearly should be in the strength tree, because strength allows for better compensation over its recoil and sheer weight).Ħ) The RWG is better, though it still has some weirdness going on with the roads. Too bad that increasing levels is so slow, otherwise I could fill in the gaps and get a forge running. Lots of schematics all over the place (and most of those at the trader's place, in the garbage piles). The game's balance is BROKEN.Ĥ) While the gameplay is thoroughly broken now, I did manage to get the Gyrocopter, Cement Mixer, Workbench and Chem Station schematics within the first two hours of starting my first A18 map. I went through over 80 arrows for 7 zombies. ![]() You can screw with my hits at distance all you like, but up close, there's no excuse for that BS.ģ) How can I boost my aiming skills when levels take so freaking long now? Fighting zombies is now a death sentence. (Note to beginners: the varsity jacket that allows for faster movement is a necessity, and stupidly, I sold mine.) Also, you *do* know that people can run backwards, right? Too bad they can't in this game.Ģ) I find that since I start with 1's in everything that I'm missing my bow shots over 50% of the time, even when point-blank. Please stop the zombies from grudge-running when hit, or put in a toggle to disable this horrible feature, since putting points into Agility, Strength or Fortitude does not allow for an increase in walk/run speed. 1) Zombies used to be human, so they can't move any faster than my character can.
